PeopleOverPapersMap.com provides a community information map, report submission and educational resources. It does not provide legal services or emergency alerts.

Information handled by this website

The map submission form asks for a category, city and state, approximate map coordinates, the date an observation occurred and a short description. Do not submit names, faces, phone numbers, email addresses, exact addresses, license plates, immigration status or other identifying or sensitive information. Submissions are stored privately in a Cloudflare D1 database while pending review. If a contributor optionally attaches a non-identifying public resource notice, legal-help flyer or community information sign, the image is resized and re-encoded in the browser as JPEG to remove embedded metadata, then stored in a private Cloudflare R2 bucket. Photos are not public while pending. Moderators inspect each photo before approval; rejected photos are deleted. Approved photos are served only after the report's 24-hour publication delay. Only approved reports are displayed publicly, with coordinates generalized to roughly 10–11 km and publication delayed at least 24 hours. The form does not request an account or contact details.

Hosting and technical logs

The website is intended to be hosted on Cloudflare Pages. The hosting provider and its infrastructure may process technical information such as IP addresses, request timestamps, browser details and security logs to deliver and protect the website. The operator should review the hosting provider's current privacy documentation and configure available retention controls. Pending and approved report records are retained in the site database until removed by the site operator.

This guide may link to government legal-resource directories, nonprofit organizations and OpenStreetMap map tiles/geocoding. When you follow an external link, that provider's privacy practices apply. We do not control their websites or data handling.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

This version of the website does not intentionally set analytics or advertising cookies. The map uses OpenStreetMap tiles and a place-search service; requests to those providers may disclose your IP address and the map area being requested. If analytics, advertising, embedded content or other tracking technologies are added later, this notice must be updated before they are enabled and any legally required consent must be obtained.
